PROTECT IP Act Breaks The Internet by Fight for the Future
Today, Congress held hearings on the PROTECT IP Act and the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA), two bills that would give the power to the government and content owners to censor and block websites that host even just one piece of content that allegedly infringes a copyright. The above video addresses the Senate version of the PROTECT IP Act, but a much more severe House bill was just introduced and is set up to pass soon if we don’t take action NOW. These bills threaten the very essence of the web and the communities that have risen from it.

Here is Blink 182’s new song Up all Night. I heard it on the radio last week on Alt Nation. Pretty cool tune but I’m not sure its really the Blink style. I’ve been a fan of the band for a long time and it seems like this track has a lot of angels and airways influence to it. Overall what do you think of the track? Hit or miss?

Portugal. The Man
After testing out Spotify today I started searching into some indie rock music. I had heard of the band Portugal. The Man before and had a few of their songs on my computer. After searching the band name I listened to there new album Mountain In The Cloud and I would have to say I was blown away by what I heard. Each of the songs sounded very different like the band could play about any type of genre they wanted to. It was a nice refresh to hear a band whose songs didn’t all sound the same. Anyways I thought I would share this band with you if you hadn’t already check them out. I highly recommend the new album be sure to support the band by buying the record directly on their website.
